LUX* Le Morne is nestled at the foot of the Le Morne Brabant, listed as a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. This iconic beach resort has been reimagined to ensure that every guest is enchanted with the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The design takes inspiration from the lush green grounds lying alongside a white sand beach, facing an emerald and turquoise colored lagoon. Each space and vignette discreetly crafted to frame what a guest will see and experience.
The suites are designed as light-filled, all-white serene beach side refuges, with whitewashed wood panels, plantation-style screen doors, and fresh white slip covered seating and linens. The mini bar is restyled as a mini luxurious tropical bar: an emerald mirror cabinet accessorized with a gilded cocktail kit and cut-glass tumblers. Every suite now has a delightful dressing room lined with a wallcovering, depicting colorful fishes and seashells on a woven background reminiscent of classic silk paintings.
Keeping with the boutique feel of the property, the public spaces have been reconfigured to bring a residential scale to the guest stay. A living room is anchored by a hand-carved freestanding bar, a perfect hangout to recharge in the shade. The adjoining restaurant is a modern interpretation of the traditional tropical veranda mixing classic and modern whitewashed rattan furniture pieces, set among clusters of potted palms. The interior is furnished with individual pieces crafted by local artisans and artisans, with its finishes kept stark and in muted neutrals, calming the senses and intensifying the impact of the bright color hues from the majestic beach setting.
